D-bar is a directly bonded orthodontic device to provide a treatment solution for Class II primary, permanent or mixed dentition.
D-bar is designed to optimize the molar relationship by minimizing cuspid overextrusion, with a highly aesthetic design for improved comfort and reduced treatment times.
D-bar has a universal design for the right and left side.
D-bar is made of two separate components, which must be assembled by the dentist at the time of positioning or through an indirect bonding procedure.
D-bar is made entirely with MIM technology in 17-4 steel. The retention base is made with a high frequency laser system, for high resistance to detachment. It is possible to use any commercially available orthodontic adhesive.
D-bar is available in twelve sizes, from size 16 to 27, with increments of one millimeter. The identification of the size is easy and immediate thanks to the laser marking
How to use
Once you have selected the most suitable D-bar size with the help of the measuring cup, bond the molar support on the upper molar (or if applicable on the bicuspid).
Insert the bar into the molar support until the round end disappears completely, then proceed to bond the other end on the cuspid (or if applicable on the bicuspid).
Bond an auxiliary (lingual tube or button) on the lower molar or bicuspid and connect the hook of the mesial side of the bar to the auxiliary with an intra-oral elastic.
D-bar can be removed after the Class II has been resolved. It is recommended to always consult the instructions included with the product.
